DESCRIPTION

The Experience Events Specialist Involves the planning and organizing of event activities, including managing logistics such as facilities, tickets,audience management activities, concessionaires, caterers, and vendors, and facilitation of communication and serviceswith speakers and facility maintenance staff; or provides technical support of these activities. Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Six years of related experience, education/training, OR a Bachelor's degree in related area plus two years of related experience/training

  • Experience and proven success demonstrating workingknowledge of concepts, principles and practices of eventplanning and production and public relations.

  • Ability to produce high quality work, keep commitments and meet deadlines. Productive in work volume, speed, quality and consistency.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience with planning employee events and experience with planning events in the health care field.
  • Experience with logistics and running events.
  • Familiarity with UC San Diego Health and working knowledge of clinical, professional, and ancillary departments.
  • Bilingual - English/Spanish.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
  • Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $56,700 - $97,500 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $27.16 - $46.70

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
