Content Creation Interns will be part of a dynamic department that is responsible for all aspects of the YMCA of Metro Chicago's marketing, experience design and events, and brand communications across all business areas. Content Creation Interns will support the department staff and gain a well-rounded understanding of how to link the Y's innovations, products, services, and offerings to build the Y's brand, create awareness, and drive demand and loyalty across channels. Depending on the priorities of the Y and the Brand Engagement department, Interns may experience different opportunities across the department and focus on multiple areas of interest.

Paid Content Creator Internship opportunity with the YMCA of Metro Chicago $18 per hour

Responsibilities:




  • Create and support the distribution of engaging content, including text, images, and video that promote the brand



  • Assist in marketing and advertising promotional activities



  • Prepare promotional presentations



  • Perform market analysis and research



  • Help organize experiential events



  • Collect quantitative and qualitative data from marketing and communications campaigns



  • Support department leadership in the ongoing maintenance and management of campaigns and operations, as well as administrative tasks




Requirements:




  • Currently enrolled in a related Bachelor or Master's degree



  • Strong desire to learn along with professional drive



  • Solid understanding of different marketing and communications techniques



  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills



  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google



  • Familiarity with marketing technology and online applications



  • Passion for the marketing industry and best practices




Child Abuse Prevention - Supports the YMCA's commitment to child abuse prevention by:



  • Reporting any items that may provide a health or safety hazard to staff, members or guests to your supervisor
  • Following all policies and procedures related to keeping children safe in our facilities and programs, including those related to the monitoring and supervision of children
  • Reporting any suspicious behavior and violation of policy and procedures to your supervisor
  • Completing all child abuse prevention training as required
