Overview The Dana-Farber Cancer Institute seeks an Research technician with a focus in pathology who will work within the Wolpin/Nowak laboratory as part of the Hale Family Center for Pancreatic Cancer Research ( and the Lustgarten Foundation Pancreatic Cancer Research Laboratory at Dana-Farber Cancer institute (). The Wolpin/Nowak laboratory focuses on the diagnosis, risk factors, survival determinants, and clinical trials for pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) and other GI malignancies. In general, they will assist in the set-up, operation and maintenance of laboratory instruments and equipment, monitoring experiments, making observations and calculating and recording results. The lab specifically works on pathway examination primary through the examination of protein expression in PDAC tumor samples through various novel techniques. The Wolpin/Nowak laboratory also assists in running the GI Biobank that support the translational needs of the GI Oncology Group.
