Position Summary

As the Social Media and Content Manager, you will lead our digital storytelling efforts, creating compelling content that resonates with our diverse audience. You will manage our social media platforms, develop content strategies, and analyze data to drive engagement and amplify our mission. Your creativity, strategic thinking, and passion for healthcare will be essential in building our brand presence online and fostering a community around our values and services.

This position reports directly to the Executive Vice President, Marketing & Communications, and works closely with various departments to ensure a cohesive and impactful digital presence.

The ideal candidate will blend a deep understanding of social media dynamics with a passion for healthcare. They will leverage their skills and abilities to enhance our organization's digital presence and meaningfully engage with our community.

Reportability

This position will report directly to the Executive Vice President, Marketing & Communications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.



  • Content Creation and Management: Develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy that aligns with our brand's voice and goals. Create engaging, informative, and inspiring content for various platforms, including blogs, social media, and our website.
  • Social Media Strategy: Manage and grow our social media profiles and presence, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and potentially additional channels. Plan and schedule content and engage with our community.
  • Analytics and Reporting: Use analytics tools to track performance and analyze the effectiveness of content and social media campaigns. Provide regular reports to the marketing team and senior management with insights and recommendations for optimization.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with departments across the organization to ensure content and social media strategies support overall marketing goals, healthcare initiatives, and community outreach efforts.
  • Brand Advocacy: Build and maintain a strong online brand presence. Monitor social media and online mentions to engage with our audience, respond to queries, and manage any negative feedback constructively.
  • Innovation and Trends: Stay current with current technologies and trends in social media, content marketing, and healthcare to bring fresh ideas and innovative approaches to our digital strategy.


Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Knowledge:



  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (3+ years) in social media management and content creation, preferably in the healthcare industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.), their respective participant demographics, and how each platform can be deployed in different scenarios.
  • Understanding the healthcare industry, including patient privacy laws (HIPAA compliance) and how they impact social media engagement.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing tools and techniques, including SEO, PPC, email marketing, and content management systems.
  • Familiarity with graphic design principles and tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) for visually appealing content.
  • Awareness of current trends in digital content, social media, and effective communication strategies within the healthcare sector.


Skills:



  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and analytics tools, with experience managing social media campaigns and analyzing data to inform strategies.
  • Creative and strategic thinker with a passion for storytelling and the ability to generate new ideas to engage with our community and promote our services.
  • Knowledge of SEO, content marketing, and digital marketing strategies.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills, capable of crafting compelling stories that promote the organization's objectives and resonate with a diverse audience.
  • Analytical skills to evaluate the effectiveness of social media and content strategies through metrics and KPIs, translating data into actionable insights.
  • Strategic planning skills, with the ability to develop and implement comprehensive content and social media strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Strong project management skills, including managing calendars, meeting deadlines, and coordinating with team members across different departments.
  • Proficiency in digital analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Facebook Insights) and social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer).

  • Commitment to staying informed about the latest trends in social media, digital marketing, and healthcare to improve our digital presence continuously.


Language Requirement



  • Ability to communicate effectively in English is required. Spanish speaking and writing are a plus.


Physical Demands - Regularly required to sit; frequently required to reach with hands and arms; walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, or hear; must be able to lift objects up to twenty-five (25) pounds.

Work Environment - You will mostly work in a typical office with quiet to moderate noise. Due to outside weather conditions, you may be exposed to extreme cold, heat, and humidity. You can work a hybrid schedule-remotely and onsite, as needed.
