22250BR Custodian II Lake Braddock Secondary School Description Performs and may oversee cleaning, set-up, maintenance, and security of classrooms, offices, restrooms, halls, stairs, and public areas in Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS)-owned buildings; performs routine duties in the movement of supplies, furniture, and equipment. Qualifications Required Any combination of education, training, and experience equivalent to completion of the eighth grade. One (1) year of successful experience in public building custodial work. Must successfully complete the FCPS Custodial Certification Course prior to or within one (1) year of appointment. May be required to work an evening and/or night shift on a regular or rotating basis. Knowledge of custodial methods, equipment, procedures, and cleaning materials. Ability to understand written and verbal instructions. Ability to learn the appropriate use of cleaning products. Ability to recognize and report hazards and apply safe work methods. Ability to communicate effectively with others.
