We Require
One year of experience in striping, sign installation, road marking, or other related experience in traffic signals and traffic control, or two years of experience in roadway construction High school diploma or GED American Traffic Safety Services Association (ATSSA) Flagging certification

Install and maintain traffic control signing consistent with MUTCD standards Input all work in real-time using an electronic asset management program Assigned a one-ton truck and responsible for following all maintenance/service requirements Operate and maintain various hand tools and power equipment Participate in On-Call/Standby with 24-hour response when requested, flooded roadway response, special signing projects, dedications, emergencies, Palo Verde drills, and exercises Two-way radio communication with dispatch and Maricopa County Sherriff's Office Assess and report roadway and traffic control conditions, damage, and flooding Other job duties as assigned
Working Conditions
Valid Arizona driver's license and have an acceptable driving record upon hire Exerting 50 - 100 pounds occasionally, 10 - 25 pounds frequently, or up to 10 - 20 pounds constantly Incumbent may be subjected to extreme temperatures, wetness/humidity, respiratory hazards, and noise and vibration Incumbent may be subjected to moving mechanical parts, vibrations, fumes, odors, dusts, poor, ventilation, chemicals, oils, extreme temperatures, inadequate lighting, workspace restrictions, intense noises, and travel
