THE JOB: As a Watch Center Specialist, you will be responsible for gathering information in support of the company's Protective Risk Assessment program. THE STARTING RATE:
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
- Gather pertinent data from company security professionals, law enforcement, and others, in order to inform and effectively communicate such to company leadership, including the company's Crisis Management Team; use Information Technology systems and applications, including company and commercially available databases, publicly available internet data sources, and social media, to gather information.
- Tailor crisis communication based on information gathered from property security teams and other sources by following established industry best practices for disseminating actionable information to a broad range of consumers, including company leadership.
- Exhibit superior critical thinking skills and sound judgment in making recommendations and assessments for property and departmental leadership; coordinate with Corporate Security Officers, Corporate Investigators, and Senior Corporate Security Management on sensitive security matters, as needed.
- Follow industry best practices with regards to radio communications; partner with local, state, and federal law enforcement personnel as required, and partner with Legal, Property Security Staff, and Senior Executives as required.
- Review security incident reports to identify basic trends and highlight significant incidents to department leadership; under direction of Watch Center Manager, actively monitor public sources and leverages social media to remain ahead of security issues.
- Develop and maintain the gaming and hospitality industry peer networks, in order to increase situational awareness, leverage information sources, and identify industry best practices.
- Assist with gathering information in support of the company's Protective Risk Assessment program.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two (2) years of related experience
- Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays.
- Strong research skills utilizing numerous databases including social media sites.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
- Clearance by Nevada Department of Public Safety to receive information relating to criminal history information.
- Clearance by Nevada Gaming Board to access their website for applicant history information.
