THE JOB:

As a Group Housing Specialist, you will set the stage for guest experience with your welcoming smile and service. By understanding their unique stories and needs, you will own their experience to create WOW moments and memories they will carry with them far beyond their stay with us. You will be integral to the housing operational success of multi-million dollar groups across the MGM Resorts Las Vegas portfolio. Assisting clients with attendees ranging from 20-5000+ from every industry and from around the world!

THE DETAILS:

  • This is a full-time, on-site, opportunity with our Corporate Group Housing Department
  • The pay for this role is $20 hourly.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Perform tasks associated to housing related needs for groups such as, but not limited to, building multiple property blocks and rates in Passkey, Amadeus and property management system(s), monitoring pick up reports, inputting reservations, assisting callers, offering upsell opportunities, and managing sub-block agreements.
  • Maintain key sense of ownership and notify supervisors/managers of any potential issues related to inventory, rate, occupancy, or special requests
  • Maintain timely communication, both written and verbal, between group contacts, clients, sales & service managers, and supervisors/management, providing expedient guest resolution within established scope of authority
  • Review sales contracts to ensure all contractual obligations are met
  • Maintain and monitor rates, availability, inventory levels, bookings, and content information for all channels of distribution.
  • Ensure all special guest requests are met including late check-outs, VIP set-ups, ADA accommodations, hierarchy specifications, etc.
  • Accommodate, prepare, and distribute all special reporting/tracking requests/needs for group contacts, meeting planners, and management
  • Prepare/provide reconciliation of master rooming specifications between hotel and client lists, ensuring accurate attrition and commission fees are processed; prepare estimated charges for groups and collects payment as applicable
  • Attend pre-conferences, pre-planning, off-site meetings and post-conference meetings with clients and hotel staff as needed
  • Maintain current knowledge/familiarity with all hotel services/features of MGMRI properties and local attraction

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Has at least (1) one year of experience in guest services/customer service.
  • Ability to multi-task and work well in a fast paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Knowledge of computer software and office equipment (i.e., Outlook, Excel, telephone, fax machine)
  • Excellent organizational skills to function effectively under time constraints and within established deadlines, with particular attention to detail.
