Job Summary Scottsdale Community College (SCC) is seeking two full-time, Student Services Specialists. These positions provide a full range of support services for Admissions, Records, and Registration including reviewing and responding to requests via in-person, online, by phone, and other media sources. Services provided include admissions processing, residency, and lawful presence classifications, registration and other related records processing. The student services specialists are also responsible for other duties that may include processing and evaluating transcripts, monitoring reports, and creating and updating department documents as needed. To best serve the students, department, and college, this position requires a physical presence on campus. Please read the "How to Apply" section to avoid incomplete application materials. Essential Functions 50% - Provides customer support in various Admissions & Records functions, related to admitting and registering students and maintaining student records, in compliant with laws, regulations, policies and procedures; provides information and assistance to students regarding admissions procedures and processes; provides customer service by reviewing and responding to requests via in person, online, by phone and other media sources 20% - Oversees and monitors various functions and/or programs within the Admissions & Records Department including but not limited to dynamic forms, non-credit offerings, graduation, transcripts, report monitoring, etc. 20% - Prepares and reconciles reports related to enrollment in order to comply with district and government requirements; retrieves information and enters or updates information in reports, logs or other documentation or record-keeping system 10% - Other duties as assigned, including serving on various college-level committees and task forces Minimum Qualifications Associate's Degree from a regionally accredited institution and one (1) year full-time equivalent of student services or college teaching experience or experience assisting with educational program development and coordination, student advisement, financial aid, or related student development programs. OR High School Diploma/GED and three (3) years full-time equivalent of student services or college teaching experience or experience assisting with educational program development and coordination, student advisement, financial aid, or related student development programs. Desired Qualifications A. Associate's degree or higher B. Two (2) years of student services or college teaching experience or experience assisting with educational program development and coordination, student advisement, financial aid, or related student development programs C. Experience with interpreting and explaining laws, regulations, and policies to customers D. Experience working in Admissions, Records, Registration, and other Enrollment Services activities E. Experience in a high volume, direct customer service setting Special Working Conditions
