Role Description

As Form Energy transforms the grid, we are looking for a Contract Manager or Paralegal to help to scale the impact of the legal department and to support key business functions across the company. This person will play an essential role in the legal department, managing various legal agreements (including terms and conditions, NDAs, supply agreements, service agreements and other standard agreements), assist with review, redlining, negotiation and execution of agreements and terms and conditions, collaboration with legal team and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with company policies, assist with operationalizing and refining workflows within the legal department, and contributing significantly to the Legal team's level of client service and valued partnership with the business.

We are looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented, and collaborative person who thrives in a fast-moving environment and gets excited about developing processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

This opportunity is based out of Form Energy's Weirton, WV or Eighty Four, PA facility. Relocation assistance is available.

What you'll do:
  • Review, prepare and negotiate various template agreements across different departments (including Business Development, Supply Chain, IP).

  • Develop, implement and maintain efficient and effective systems for managing information, projects and workflows to ensure accurate and timely responses.

  • Assist in creating and maintaining various templates to ensure the business can transact quickly and efficiently.

  • Manage and maintain internal repositories of agreements and be the first line of defense in helping clients interpret contractual obligations.

  • Support contract finalization and execution, while coordinating cross-functionally relating to internal approvals.

  • Manage relationships with outside counsel, including monitoring correspondence, onboarding new counsel, and reviewing invoices.

  • Monitor, update, and help develop strategic and tactical goals in order to meet organizational goals.

What you'll bring:
  • 4+ years experience as a paralegal contracts manager or similar position (in-house experience or energy background strongly preferred)

  • BA or BS Degree from an undergraduate institution

  • Experience with a wide array of legal documents and contractual agreements, including NDAs, consulting agreements, and other commercial contracts

  • Familiarity with patents and other intellectual property documentation

  • High level of professionalism and motivation, and ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced, rapidly changing startup environment

  • Ability to take initiative to identify and complete tasks with little or no supervision

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and be adaptable with rapidly changing priorities

  • Demonstrated capacity and passion for organization and efficiency

  • Excellent written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal skills
