About the College/Unit/Department
The Application Support Group within the Office of Advancement IT specializes in application development and support for the Division of Development and Alumni Relations. The unit's objective is to create, customize, modify, and support applications and reports that enhance the division's ability to achieve its fundraising goals as well as to improve other processes that affect the organization.

Minimum Qualifications
Requires at least a baccalaureate degree in the field. Please contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education/experience in lieu of the required minimum qualifications.
Preferred Qualifications

  • At least one year of experience in creation and maintenance of websites and/or web applications
  • Experience working with a Content Management System, such as WordPress
  • Experience working with a database, such as MySQL or MS SQL
  • Exposure to MVC framework, such as Laravel

Position Summary
Reporting to the Associate Director of Application Development, this position is responsible for the programming, testing, implementation, documentation, and support of new and existing web applications for Development and Alumni Relations units along with each application's associated databases. Applicant should possess excellent written and oral communication skills for relation of both technical and non-technical information.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies

  • Experience with web programming languages such as PHP or .NET
  • Experience working with a database such as MySQL or MS SQL
  • Experience with GitLab or similar version control system

  • HTML, JavaScript/jQuery, CSS, XML
  • Ability to interact verbally and in writing with both technical and non-technical audiences
