Maintenance Coordinator
Hondros College of Nursing

The Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for delegating the cleaning and maintenance tasks, monitoring the safety and cleanliness of all interior and exterior areas of the campus, moving and installing office equipment, maintaining lighting and plumbing, and performing repairs on the equipment and facility as needed.

Responsibilities:



  • Delegating cleaning and maintenance tasks to third party cleaning
  • Monitoring the safety and cleanliness of interior and exterior areas, such as offices, conference rooms, parking lots and outdoor recreation spaces
  • Maintain and keep up all Hazard Data Material Sheets
  • Preparing facilities for changing weather conditions
  • Painting and wall repair
  • Moving desks, office equipment, filing cabinets, medical facility equipment, etc. Some items are in excess of 350 pounds.
  • Installation of new equipment
  • Minor plumbing
  • Maintain all lighting
  • Performing routine maintenance on facilities and making repairs as needed
  • Scheduling routine inspections and emergency repairs with outside vendors
  • Maintaining day-to-day operations of facilities/completing maintenance orders
  • Creating reports on maintenance, repairs, safety and other occurrences for supervisors and other relevant staff


Requirements:



  • At least two years' experience in facilities maintenance or janitorial services preferred
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to interact with a variety of individuals at various organizational levels
  • Ability to identify and resolve escalated issues or recommend solutions
  • Ability to identify and assess cleaning and maintenance needs for the building
  • Ability to establish and meet deadline


Education:



  • High School Diploma
