You absolutely get a thrill working behind the scenes to pull off killer events. Hone your project management, production, and hospitality skills as part of the Weisman's tight-knit Events team. Take that hustle into a full-time, University of Minnesota staff role at this lively campus museum. The WAM Events Associate (Principal Office Specialist) position is a full-time, union-represented role, with all the attendant University of Minnesota employee benefits. This position reports to the Events Manager and assists with production support, student staff, scheduling, event planning and management. The Events Associate works variable hours, depending on the events schedule, and includes nights and weekends. This is a 100% full-time, continuing Labor Represented position under AFSCME Unit 6 - Clerical (classification 1826, Principal Office and Administrative Specialist). Work Hours: 40 hours/week. Work Days: Arranged depending on the events schedule. Work Mode: This position is 75% onsite and 25% remote. Salary Range: $46,000-$49,000 annually Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: * High School Diploma or GED and two years of office experience and/or managing public events. Training or formal education may be substituted for some of the years of experience. * Previous experience in an art museum or cultural organization/venue About the Department
