Responsibilities

Pediatrics nurses are Registered Nurses (RN) who provide direct care to patients who range in age from newborn to geriatric. Patients include medical, surgical, and oncology as well as pediatric patients requiring moderate sedation for special procedures and testing. Staff ratio is 1-3 patients according to the acuity of the patient. The nurse reports to the Pediatric charge nurse. Pediatric RN organizes care delivery by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, evaluating and communicating with all necessary providers and ancillary departments on an ongoing basis.


Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Associate or Bachelors degree from an accredited school of nursing
  • Current RN licensure in the state of Idaho
  • BLS certification
  • Obtain PALS certification within 1 year of hire
  • Obtain ONS certification within 1 year of hire

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • At least one year of acute care experience preferred
