Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    Coordinate all APQP, PPAP and IMDS activities to ensure capability for new business and/or products as well as complying with on time delivery of PPAP and IMDS documentation to the customers, maintain all quality metrics up to date and communication to all associates in Plant.
  • 100% of all new part numbers for FXI Santa Teresa
  • Preparation and submission of PPAP packages for the customers.
  • Coordinates testing activities with Corporate Lab to support new products.
  • Schedule and lead APQP meetings for new programs and major changes.
  • Maintain all APQP documentation, including control plans, PFMEA, process flow charts, etc.
  • Input IMDS information into IMDS website or customer designated format, including suppliers.
  • Perform internal audits to IATF 16949
  • Schedule and perform internal calibrations, and schedule outsource external.
  • Coordinate and update Quality month end metrics.
  • Request review and approve all supplier PPAP packages, including ordering masters.
  • Under direction of the quality manager conducts companywide document control process.
  • Stops shipment and production to correct quality problems.
  • Environmental aspect and impact awareness.
  • Report any inconsistency or nonconformance on the product and participate in the corrective/preventive actions process
  • Authority to stop shipment, stop production to correct quality problems.


Qualifications

Education and/or Experience Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or Equivalency
  • 2 Years of experience on PPAP coordinator position
  • Access training
  • IMDS Training or at least 2 years of experience
  • AIAG Standard Training or at least 2 years of experience
  • Bilingual preferred
  • Strong organization skills
  • Strong interpersonal Communication skills to deal with customers and suppliers.
  • Flexibility in work assignments
  • Microsoft access report writing skills
  • Multitasking capabilities
