WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

The Director, Product Development Healthcare and Professional Provider Programs reports to and works collaboratively with the Senior Director, Product Development to lead the product development healthcare and professional team in delivering high-quality programs in line with the business requirements. They also work closely with Training Services Product Management, Product Development, Project Management, Science and Education, Marketing and external partners/consultants throughout the product development process.

The Director, Product Development Healthcare and Professional Provider Programs is responsible for formulating and developing product execution strategy and delivering required course content to expand our product portfolio within the healthcare and professional portfolio. Additional responsibilities include establishing product requirements; creating comprehensive product development plans; identifying product development resource needs to meet product requirements; and managing the relationship with third-party development partners while coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure product requirements, quality assurance and delivery timing are met.

The Director Product Development Healthcare and Professional Provider Programs must be proficient in managing multiple workflows and teams amid changing priorities in a fast-paced environment and produce outstanding results. They are also responsible for understanding market dynamics, technology, and product development best practices as inputs to creating industry-leading programs and services.

WHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCE GOOD

  • Manage product development healthcare and professional team to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of high-quality programs according to business requirements.
  • Establish best practices and standard operating procedures for project development processes in conjunction with the Sr. Director, Product Development.
  • Manage all aspects of content and product development for assigned portfolioincluding conceptualizing content approaches, creating content templates and sample manuscript, and providing editorial direction.
  • Collaborate in the timely development of project plans that identify overall project scope, business requirements, budget, schedules, strategic priorities and measurable deliverables in conjunction with cross-functional teams.
  • Coordinate with internal teams including senior management, product management, product development, science and education, scientific advisory council, marketing, sales and others to ensure product development goals are aligned and achieved.
  • Collaborate in the identification, selection and hiring of production and editorial vendors and contractors (i.e., writers, editors, subject-matter experts, instructional designers, technical advisors, programmers, designers, compositors, and industry consultants.)
  • Manage multiple workflows and teams amid changing priorities in a fast-paced environment and produce outstanding results.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for the product development healthcare and professional teamin conjunction with Sr. Director, Product Development.
  • Manage editorial, SME and instructional design relationships through the product development process.
  • Troubleshoot, mediate, and creatively solve challenges and overcome obstacles.
  • Determine the need and strategy to scale up resources in conjunction with program releases and competing priorities.

  • Research, experiment and test new technology, applications and methods of information delivery.
  • Establish lines of communication and workflows.
  • Regularly prepare and present updated insights, plans, recommendations and status reports.

100% Remote- Candidate can live anywhere in US.

The salary range for this position is $130,000-150,000/yr

This job will be posted for a minimum of five business days and extended if the applicant pool needs to be expanded.

Other factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have and comparison to other employees already in this role.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in English/Communications, Marketing, Business, or related field required.
  • Experience: Minimum 7 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.
  • Management Experience: 5 years of management experience
  • Significant substantive editing experience in resuscitation programs for medical publishing companies, health and safety training organizations or related fields, including the non-profit sector.
  • Direct experience launching new products required.
  • Demonstrate proficiency and experience in the creation of high-quality print and digital products.
  • Experience in vendor management.
  • Ability to work with internal business owners as well as external agencies.
  • Ability to simultaneously manage several projects and motivate teams under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings.
  • Demonstrated ability to estimate project costs and manage budgets.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration required.
  • Basic computer skills, proficiency in MS Office programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Travel: Ability to travel 30-50%.
