Lead IT Steel Operations

Cleveland-Cliffs is seeking an IT Team Lead at out Regional Office in West Chester, OH. The Team Lead will lead a team of 2- 3 developers, direct work efforts, and contribute to the enhancements, maintenance and support of computer systems. This position also requires the ability to troubleshoot issues and address concerns while identifying ways to improve the application(s) themselves. Be a leader to your team to promote teaming, management of workload, planning for on call coverage, managing time off of team members for support coverage, and address team issues.

Summary of Responsibilities:

• Effectively communicate progress/problems to team members/leads as well as key business personnel which could include senior staff or executives.
• Interact with business users when gathering requirements, understanding support concerns, learning business processes, etc.
• Lead in discovery and requirements sessions internally or with business users.
• Elicit requirements which may require interviews, document analysis, requirement workshops, use cases, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, interface analysis, task & workflow analysis, focus groups, brainstorming, and prototyping.
• Manage overall training and documentation for the team.
• Accurately report issues or problems with clear explanations and solutions to leadership.
• Interface between team members and management and serve as technical advisor to business leads.
• Assist in Troubleshooting issues
• Gain understandings of responsible business area(s) supported by team
• Provide input to Manager on team member performance
• Reports personnel issues to Manager
• Promotes business and technical change within team for responsible application area(s)
• Promotes positive teaming and working relationships within responsible application area(s)

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Business (MIS) or related discipline
• 15+ years of experience in Information Technology with custom development and SDLC processes
• Proven knowledge and experience with representative languages and tools:
• JCL, Cobol, PLI, SAS, C#, C++
• Visual Studio, GIT, Micro Focus enterprise server, ZENA
• Proven knowledge and experience with DB2, Oracle and SQL Server
• Excellent communicationskills - both verbal and written
• Ability to build relationships with team members, peers, vendors, leaders, and key individuals.
• Established influencing, consulting and communicationskills; has the ability to influence, engage and motivate people

Preferred Qualifications:

• 15+ years of experience in Information Technology within a manufacturing organization
• 15+ years of experience with Outside Processors, Commercial or Financial systems
• 5+ years of experience leading development teams
• 5+ years of experience in project management and common methodologies.
• 2+ years in practicing agile techniques
