Overview

Job Summary:

The Human Resource Generalist will support the [Corporate or Supply Chain] HR Business Partner team in the daily functions of the department including recruitment, compliance, onboarding, offboarding, and recognition.



Responsibilities

Duties/Responsibilities:
    Helps as needed to administer and support a variety of human resource programs to include, recruitment, compensation, performance and talent management, corrective action matters; complaints and investigations; compliance, recognition, engagement and benefits
  • Support the onboarding process for employees in in corporate supply chain as well as liaison with facility administrators to support wage & hour employees, including compliance documentation, completion of I9s, and responding to new hire inquiries.
  • Coordinate with supply chain site administrators to support employee services in connection with benefits information & events, diversity, equity, and inclusion information & events, and any HR efforts to support the employee experience.
  • Support the offboarding process, including administration of exit interviews, completion of transition letters, preparation of general release and waivers, and support of separated employees
  • Completes questionnaires from Payroll for unemployment claims by coordinating with the HRBP
  • Prepare appropriate Leave of Absence and Accommodation Letters, track due dates, and manage the follow-up with employees.
  • Gather and analyze data with useful HR metrics, to track time to hire and employee turnover rates/trends
  • Organize mid-year and annual employee performance reviews
  • Responsible for formatting job descriptions as well as organize/categorize in a central repository
  • Research HR topics, inclusive of new trends, updated legal and compliance, conferences and information that the HR team can leverage to streamline day-to-day workplace tasks
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and managers, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate HR person.
  • Ensure all data transactions are entered promptly to ensure accurate and live data for reporting purposes. Generates reports upon request from HRIS system.
  • Supports HR communications to employees and managers, including working with internal communications and cross-functional HR teams, and maintaining accurate and up-to-date information on the Human Resources Department page on company intranet
  • Support the candidate selection process for associated teams.
  • Main contact for employment legal postings. Ensure all sites have appropriate quantity for posting.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law
  • Performs other duties as assigned


Qualifications

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • 2+ years of human resource management experience preferred.
  • SHRM-CP a plus.
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
