(RN) Registered Nurse - Per Diem - ED Inpatient - 129573

Total patient care for the Emergency Department Inpatient (admitted patients) and Observation involves three levels of care: IMU, Telemetry, and Med Surg. There is a heavy focus on oncology, surgical oncology, and bone marrow transplant. The RN must be qualified to care for the highest level of care, IMU, and have special training in critical care, oncology concepts, surgery and medicine.

• Must be a graduate from an accredited school of Nursing.

• Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of California.

• BLS/CPR and ACLS certifications at time of hire with commitment to get ART within six (6) months of hire date.

• Minimum one (1) year of recent acute care RN experience at the IMU level of care or higher acuity.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Must be able to work within a busy team environment.

• BSN/MSN.

• Recent acute care IMU/CDU, Observation, or ED Inpatient (EDIP) experience.

• Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
• Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
• Per diem shift requirement is an average of 1 shift per week. Must be available 1-weekend shift every 4 weeks and 1 major holiday. This is subject to change based on department needs.
