Get to Know Your Team:

  • Lovelace Medical Center is an acute care hospital with 263 licensed beds, providing comprehensive care, including around-the-clock emergency care, surgical services, non-invasive robotic spine surgery, stroke care, radiology and oncology services.

Responsibilities

  • Performs a wide range of advance technical preventive maintenance and repairs for assigned facility and/or department to include plumbing, electrical, heating, ventilating, and/or air conditioning services.
  • Performing tasks such as but not limited to pipe fitting, welding, and machining

  • Operates a variety of plant operation equipment such as boiler, chiller, etc.
  • Prepares and maintains logs, records and charts.
  • Provides emergency maintenance as requested.
  • Maintains work area to ensure a clean and safe environment. Adheres to safety requirements as required

  • Participates and attends departmental meetings and training. Maintains licensure as required.

  • Takes ownership of assignments; other duties as assigned or requested.
  • Communicates and listens effectively with internal and external customers; effectively understands instructions and shares knowledge.

  • Cooperates and interacts with supervisors, peers, other departments, and all customer groups demonstrating our commitment to "service".


Qualifications

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Three (3) years of related experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints

Preferred Job Requirements

  • Technical and/or Vocational training in related field of study
  • NM journeyman license in either construction trades or boiler operation
