POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Financial Accountant will play a key financial role supporting Bedrug, a RealTruck manufacturing site by preparing financial statements and reconciling them timely and accurately in the monthly closing process in accordance with company accounting policies and GAAP. This role performs SOX controls in compliance with company policy and supports the annual operating plan and forecasting processes along with analyzing financial statements for variances. As a business partner, they serve the local leadership in productivity and cost savings through lean manufacturing activities and key performance indicators.This work involves a high level of independent judgment, accuracy, and initiative.

CORE FUNCTIONS



  • Ensure financials are reconciled and reported in accordance with company accounting policies and GAAP.

    • Have a solid foundation of company and GAAP accounting policies.
    • Support external and internal audits, as necessary.
    • Timely and accurate financial reporting, including full Balance Sheet reconciliations.
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
    • Perform SOX controls compliance to company policy.
    • Analyze financial statement variances.


  • Execute planning processes in accordance with company policies.

    • Support the planning, coordination, execution, and monitoring of annual operating plan process.
    • Prepare and validate monthly forecasting process.
    • Identify and explain variance analysis, business risks, drivers, and impacts.


  • Serve as key business partner for Product Supply (Manufacturing).

    • Support local leadership through collaboration and performance of manufacturing lean activities including Compass room tracking, maintaining, and validation of project work from ideation to completion, and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs).


  • Deliver financial statements and business support leveraging a high level of independent judgment, accuracy, and initiative.
  • Identify and implement efforts to improve financial processes.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience



  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or other related degree required. Master's degree or CPA/CMA is preferred.
  • 4+ years of progressive accounting and or finance experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of financial systems experience, including general ledger - a manufacturing ERP is preferred, consolidations & reporting - Hyperion Financial Management is preferred, and account reconciliation tool - Blackline is preferred.


Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge



  • Manufacturing accounting knowledge and experience, including standard cost skills are preferred.
  • Ability to problem solve independently and resourcefully.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to think analytically.
  • Ability to break down problems and provide recommendations for solutions. .
  • Function efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Excel, specifically in pivot tables, vlook-ups, formulas, and functions.
