Description
This is an exciting opportunity to work for one of the top law firms in the U.S.! Davis Wright Tremaine LLP is looking for an Attorney Training Specialist to join our team in our Seattle office.
We offer a hybrid work engagement with three days o f remote work, and two days in-office.
Under the guidance of the Senior Manager, Attorney Training and CLE Compliance, the Attorney Training Specialist will act as project manager and logistics resource to ensure the successful implementation of attorney training initiatives across the firm.
The Attorney Training Specialist is adaptable to changing priorities, taking ownership of multiple projects and initiatives, anticipating needs, and creatively solving problems.

On a typical day you will:
  • Working closely with the Senior Manager of Attorney Training and CLE Compliance, collaborate with practice group leadership and firmwide stakeholders to implement and support firmwide attorney training initiatives. Work may include creating and updating training plans; communicating with presenters and attendees; consulting with internal subject matter experts to update materials; hosting and running planning meetings; scheduling and creating invitations for Zoom trainings and meetings; managing planning timelines, records, and RSVP lists; and coordinating training materials
  • Communicate with practice groups and other stakeholders across the firm about training needs; help design and review attorney training programming and other training resources
  • Coordinate live delivery of attorney trainings, including booking conference rooms, ensuring audiovisual requirements and catering needs are identified and met, managing speaker confirmations and materials, provide delivery host duties, and other logistics
  • Coordinate minimum continuing legal education (MCLE) accreditation of trainings with CLE team
  • Enter and keep current program details in firm's MCLE database (viGlobal)
  • Serve as a resource for attorneys and practice groups to identify potential training opportunities or topics
  • Review PD training expense reimbursement and invoice requests, with close oversight from Senior Manager of Training and CLE Compliance
  • Update tip sheets and other materials relating to attorney training
  • Support Professional Development's collaboration with the HR, Talent Acquisition, DEI, and Practice Management Departments to support attorney integration and continuing career development, as assigned
  • Assist with other Professional Development initiatives, as assigned
Join us if you have:
  • 2+ years of experience in a professional office. Experience in professional services talent development, professional development, HR, or similar area strongly preferred. Previous experience in a law firm or professional services organization, supporting a multi-office environment, preferred
  • J.D. degree preferred or equivalent combination of relevant work experience and education
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate professionally with lawyers, managers, and staff
  • Ability to organize assignments, work under pressure, meet deadlines, and accurately maintain shared records. High degree of attention to detail and responsiveness required
  • Ability to take initiative when appropriate
  • Demonstrated ability to ask needed questions to stay on top of a current situation
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain positive working relationships
  • Demonstrated orientation to customer service and excellent independent problem-solving skills and professional judgment
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and use database applications required; viWave preferred but not required
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook required. Knowledge of all MS Office products strongly preferred

Washington State
The annualized salary range for this position in Washington is $75,000 to $80,000 ($38.46-$41.03 hourly). Actual pay will be adjusted based on the candidate's education, training, experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. Full time employees may be eligible for a bonus, health insurance with an optional HSA, long term disability, dental insurance, vision care, telemedicine and virtual short term solution based counseling services, life insurance, Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, subsidized backup care and caregiving resources, 401(k), vacation, sick time, 11 paid holidays each year and an employee assistance program. For full-time employees, the initial vacation benefit is 15 days per year and 11 days of sick leave per year, accrued bi-weekly. Additional voluntary programs include: voluntary accident insurance, voluntary life, voluntary disability, voluntary long term care, and pet insurance. Commuter and Transit programs are also available.
