Description

i-Heath Laboratory Services is a high complexity testing laboratory. We are a patient focused service line for Infinite Health Collaborative, an organization comprised of independent Physician Clinics throughout the Twin Cities. We are looking for a motivated and quality driven Medical Technologist who appreciates variety in their workday. The ideal candidate will possess a clear and effective communication style, attention to detail, organizational skills, the ability to manage change in a fast-paced environment and a positive attitude. Most importantly, an individual who is patient focused.

This is a full-time position working 8-hour shifts Monday through Thursday (hours ranging between 8:00 am and 7:00 pm) and also an 8-hour shift on Friday (between the hours of 9:00 am and 9:00 pm). Our Laboratory operation hours may include an occasional weekend shift, but does not include third shift or holidays. This role is based out of our i-Health Laboratory in Bloomington, MN.

i-Health Laboratory Services is an operating division of Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health), a group of local medical practices, owned and led by its physicians, on a mission to give patients more control over their healthcare. Essential Functions:



  • Perform daily QC, patient testing and reporting of results.
  • Assist in instrument implementation and validation of testing.
  • Assist in inventory management.
  • Equipment maintenance.
  • Accessioning patient samples.
  • Assist in training team members.
  • Understand LIS functions and capabilities.
  • Demonstrate laboratory troubleshooting skills and critical thinking.
  • Utilize lean concepts to determine operational workflows.
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding and experience in CAP, CLIA, OSHA, and HIPAA guidelines.
  • Assist in the development of a Quality Management System, including writing policies and procedures.
  • Establish professional relationships with vendors, clinical staff, clients and key stakeholders.
  • Must be able to work well independently and in a team setting.
  • All other duties as assigned.
  • Must possess a positive and professional attitude.


Education and Experience Requirements:



  • Medical Technologist with ASCP certification or Bachelor's degree in a biological science with equivalent experience.
  • 3 years of clinical lab testing in a high complexity lab preferred.
  • Experience in Chemistry, Immunoassay, Hematology, Microbiology and/or Molecular Diagnostics preferred.
