The ideal candidate will have a CDCA or higher license (LCDCII, LSW, LPC). Experience working with individuals with substance use disorder and/or mental health treatment is a plus! We offer free continuing education credits to maintain your license and tuition assistance benefits. We offer a pay differential based on your level of license (CDCA, LCDCII or III or LPC or LSW). Position Responsibilities for Addiction Counselor:
- Completes Diagnostic Assessments and treatment plans on individuals seeking services for gambling, alcohol, or other drugs.
- Facilitates therapeutic cognitive behaviorally based groups for alcohol and other drug treatment.
- Conducts individual and family counseling sessions to identify those problems the client has which may interfere with the recovery process and develop appropriate treatment for client.
- Makes appropriate referrals for further counseling and services to improve client's quality of life and improve likelihood of recovery.
- Provides case management, linkage and/or referrals to appropriate school, employment bureau, housing, health facility, or other community resource
- Keeps accurate and up-to-date clinical records meeting agency, state and accrediting board standards.
- When needed, may provide care management services including possible transportation and/or contact in the community
Position Requirements for Addiction Counselor:
- Ohio CDCA required.
- Experience working with individuals with SUD.
- LCDCII, LCDCIII, LSW, or LPC preferred. Pay differential for LCDCII or above
Position Responsibilities for SUD Case Manager
- Provides ongoing SUD case management to individuals within the Over-the-Rhine community and individuals in the surrounding area in need of services.
- Assess the client's strengths, needs, abilities, and preferences to receive substance use disorder treatment, including medication-assisted treatment, by gathering information from the client and other sources when available regarding the client's substance use
- Provide coordination and assistance in accessing services for crisis stabilization and resolution, and collaborating in identifying treatment needs
- Engage clients in the therapeutic process and practice intensive outreach and engagement strategies with clients utilizing community-based interventions
- Conduct therapeutic clinical sessions to identify and address difficulties the client is experiencing that are interfering with the client's recovery process
- Provide ongoing case management, referrals, and/or linkages to needed services such as schools, employment, housing, health facilities/providers, and other community resources with the goal of improving each client's quality of life and recovery process
