Multimedia Marketing Intern

The Multimedia Marketing Intern will apply photography and videography skills to create and edit visually engaging photos and short form videos that capture the experiences within NOVA Parks for the Marketing Department's yearly content calendar. Work is performed under the direction of the Director of Marketing & Communications.

Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour

Major Duties/Specific Tasks

  • Assist the Marketing team in producing and editing photos and videos for the yearly content calendar, including styled shoots for campaigns.
  • Assist professional photographers during contracted shoots.
  • Contribute to management of photo and video archives. This includes selecting best images and edit, color correct, and optimize photos from each assignment; and maintaining a current b-roll library of NOVA Parks activities.
  • Collaborate with the creative team on various projects in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Maintain accuracy and attention to detail throughout the creative and production process.
  • Offer input to creative meetings and share ideas.
  • Communicate with senior team members to receive feedback.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Candidate must be enrolled in a degree-granting program in marketing, digital media, communications, photography, videography, or a related major of an accredited college or university during the internship.
  • Non-manual work with strength and dexterity necessary to perform required tasks, including lifting, stooping, bending, and working in both indoor and outdoor settings.
  • Understanding of and experience with communications, marketing, social media, and photo/video creation and editing.
  • Proven understanding of photography and videography. Experience using camera equipment including digital cameras, a variety of lenses, microphones, tripods, and flashes.
  • Basic working knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere, Lightroom and Bridge preferred).
  • Proficiency in conceptualizing and producing photo and video content for social media platforms including, but not limited to, Instagram (in-feed + Stories), TikTok, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and Facebook.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well as part of a team in a collaborative environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, initiative, and follow-through skills.
  • Team player with strong organization, communication, and interpersonal skills with ability to prioritize and excel in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Self-starter who is eager to dive in, learn, and grow.
  • Ability to acquire general knowledge of NOVA Parks, its history, traditions, and policies.
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed to attend special events and ceremonies.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the position.
