Overview

The Senior Manager, National Trade Marketing will take ownership of their product channel and work with the individual markets and trade teams to drive sales and standardization across Breakthru's Diageo footprint.

Location for this role can be in any BBG-Diageo market



Responsibilities

    Increase sales and focus of product channel
    • Ability to influence different trade directors across states.
    • Collaborate with the Trade Development team to drive priorities, programming, and insights for their assigned channel of business.
    • Translate channel priorities to leadership across the enterprise.
    • Develop National Incentives to drive against priority areas.
  • Drive standardization
    • Develop commercial execution standards across states and channels.
    • Enforce routine standardization and management across markets.
  • Evaluate and Improve
    • Define, implement, and monitor performance metrics for key business objectives, providing visibility and insight into key business drivers and trends.
    • Utilize market data and sales metrics to analyze category performance.
    • Gather feedback from markets on programming & activation.
    • Identify opportunities and develop actionable recommendations for improvement.
    • Manager the gap closure process for product channel across BBG.
  • Other duties, as assigned by the jobholder's supervisor, may also be required.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field and/or equivalent training and work experience
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in sales, marketing and/or trade development
  • Advanced PC skills using MS Office and other various computer programs including presentation software
  • Must be a results-oriented professional with verbal/written communication skills using diplomacy and discretion as well as customer service skills
  • Ability to multi-task, work independently and/or within a team, pay attention to detail and meet deadlines
  • Competent in financial acumen with the ability to calculate and analyze return on investment.
  • Knowledge of trade development fundamentals (supplier, sales, customer, and brand)
  • Strong sales, finance, budget management, negotiation, and management skills with the ability to influence executive leadership
  • Ability to translate Strategy into relevant marketplace activity
  • Analytic and Reporting skills
  • Utilize sound judgement and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume, team environment
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working for or directly with a supplier in the alcohol beverage industry

Physical Requirements:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone
