The Marketing Specialist role for the Protective & Marine Finishes Division of the Sherwin-Williams Performance Coatings Group will be responsible for supporting the execution of segment and portfolio marketing, communications and sales program activities that drive measurable business results for the Division in the United States and Canada.

Based on the established segment and portfolio marketing and communications strategies, the successful candidate will perform a variety of functional tasks to support campaigns and tactics targeting a diverse set of segments and audiences.

MARKET RESEARCH AND ANALYSIS



  1. Market and trend research, market sizing and Voice of Customer data collection and analysis
  2. Marketing analytics to optimize marketing and sales campaigns
  3. Partnership with the Performance Coatings Group internal shared service research team to leverage data sources, assets and best practices in support of the Division's growth objectives
  4. Collaboration with sales and segment/portfolio marketing teams to ensure the internal Voice of Customer is reflected in marketing programs, and aligned with the sales organization's customer communications and content needs


SEGMENT MARKETING SUPPORT



  1. Segment and portfolio marketing tactical support for the Infrastructure, Energy, Manufacturing & Processing and associated sub-segments, as well as Fire and Flooring marketing teams
  2. Demand generation program support, including sales campaigns, promotions, trade shows, etc.
  3. Collection of analytics on campaign effectiveness to share with segment and portfolio team



MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS SUPPORT



  1. Marketing communications and digital program support to facilitate growth programs for the sales organization
  2. Assistance with the implementation of the annual North American Sales Meeting


Point of contact for customer presentation development support

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

FORMAL EDUCATION:

Required:



  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Business


KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

Required:



  • 1-3 years experience with P&M products and segments
  • 1-3 years experience with digital tools
  • 1-3 years Marketing analytics


Preferred:



  • 1-3 years experience with P&M products and segments
  • 1-3 years experience with digital tools
  • 1-3 years Marketing analytics



TECHNICAL/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Required:



  • Advanced level with MS Tools
