CAS is currently seeking a Portfolio Manager- Enterprise Information Security Auditing for our Strategic Initiatives team. This position will be located in our headquarters in Columbus, Ohio.

Position Summary:

The Portfolio Manager oversees the coordination and completion of all aspects of assigned projects which often require considerable resources and high levels of functional integration. Responsible to lead projects to a successful conclusion by facilitating scope, managing customer expectations, monitoring day-to-day execution and ensuring the project is on schedule and within budget. Creates and maintains standard project management deliverables leveraging appropriate methods and practices to manage and control the project.

NOTE: This position has unique responsibilities in the Enterprise Information Security space - specifically supporting the IT Internal Audit assessments and remediations for CAS and ACS, as well as driving maturity of our NIST-800-171 security in support of our accounts in the government industry. Required experience includes at least ten years of IT management, and at least five years working specifically as an auditor.

Job Duties:



  • Manages 1-4 concurrent programs and projects of strategic or foundational importance to the CAS enterprise, with organizational complexity across 3-4 functions, of large-size resources/cost relative to the CAS strategic portfolio. May include cross-functional impacts across the Society. Manages projects, develops and distributes quality project-related documentation to all interested parties, including project plan and schedule, project charter, communications plan, requirements document, design document, deployment plan, test plan, maintenance transition plan, and notification of project end.
  • Determines the scope, budget, and resources for assigned projects based on historical information, input from other staff, and high level technical understanding of project tasks.
  • Holds project meetings internally and externally to ensure proper level of project-related communication, including project kickoff meeting to establish/confirm roles, regularly scheduled project team meetings to track progress, stakeholder meetings to provide status, post-implementation meeting with customers to ensure that project criteria have been fully met, and lessons learned meeting to gather feedback for use in future projects.
  • Ensures measures are taken in projects to increase quality and mitigate risk, including risk analyses, impact assessment, needs assessment, requirements signoff, code reviews, test planning and execution, fallback plans, and deployment plans.
  • Measures and reports project performance, project milestones, and other project information to project stakeholders and senior management on a regular basis, including escalating issues that require management attention
  • Provides leadership, motivation and establishes a teamwork environment for the project team; and advises, influences, and coaches team members in the development and achievement of project goals.
  • Helps facilitate project prioritization processes, including prepare project materials required for quarterly and monthly prioritization sessions on assigned projects.
  • Ensures compliance with policies and procedures for implementing changes.


Job Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's Degree required, and Master's/Advanced Degree preferred, in business, management, information systems, computer science or a related field
  • Project Management Professional certification (PMP) required
  • 10+ years' experience Project Management
  • Solid leadership, communications and program management skills with the ability to successfully mobilize diverse resources and project teams across a wide variety of areas/functions/levels to effectively manage large, complex projects simultaneously required.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Word and Excel). Knowledge of project management software preferred.
