Role and Responsibilities:
The Landscaping Crew Lead will lead and supervise landscaping employees, ensuring they work effectively and efficiently. As well as, train and evaluate staff, ensure employees adhere to company policies and safety guidelines, and report any unsafe conditions.



  • Assistant with the supervision of landscaping crewmembers that is primarily composed of individuals with disabilities.
  • Coordinate safety gear and equipment safeguards.
  • Organize, plan, and direct landscaping and maintenance operations, including scheduling work for timely completion.
  • Maintain the goals, standards, and objectives of the facility and company.
  • Perform final inspections to ensure quality.
  • Inspect crew equipment daily, addressing malfunctions, and provide training in proper equipment usage and maintenance.
  • Perform routine maintenance at the end of each day.
  • Use weed whackers in areas where a mower cannot be used
  • Addressing failed areas promptly.
  • Complete daily paperwork for all assigned areas.
  • Stay after hours or work on weekends as needed to meet project requirements.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by management.


Education and Experience Requirements:



  • High school diploma and/or GED.
  • Minimum of (1) One-year landscaping experience. (Preferred)
  • Minimum of (1) One-year Supervisory experience. (Preferred)



Physical Demands:

The Landscaping Crew Lead is a physically demanding position. While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to reach with hands and arms.



  • Frequently required use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects tools or controls.
  • Must spend the entire time at work standing, walking, lifting heavy objects, operating medium-weight lawn care equipment.
  • Required to do a great deal of stretching and bending, often in awkward positions.
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 70 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and the ability to adjust focus.



Environmental Demands:
The incumbent will be exposed to outdoor elements and may have to work in extreme heat. The incumbent may be exposed to loud noises for extended periods.
