Associate Director of Development (Fundraiser 4) Under the general direction of the Managing Executive Direction of Development (MEDOD) Medical Programs, the position designs, develops, implements, and administers fundraising strategies. Identifies new donor prospects through research of background information on potential donors and directs the development of materials and marketing plan. Directs the organizing of related fundraising programs/events; cultivates, solicits, and stewards major gift donor prospects. The Associate Director of Development is a skilled fundraising professional with in-depth understanding of the field, who independently performs the full range of responsibilities of a university development officer, analyzes problems/issues of diverse scope, and determines solutions. Using advanced fundraising concepts, plans, organizes, and directs fundraising campaigns which include multiple components. The results of the incumbent's efforts have major impact on overall program goals and assignments and are typically at the "major gifts" level, including building and managing a well-documented and active portfolio of individuals, planned gifts, corporations, and foundations, and focusses on donors capable of giving $50K or more. The incumbent maintains a portfolio of donor prospects that include influential, complex, and highly rated doors. Has authority to make decisions regarding program design and development strategies. Position works with the MEDOD to develop programs and other external relation functions, such as events as deemed appropriate, volunteers' coordination, and development of marketing materials. The incumbent is expected to achieve annual growth in major gift giving. Including the oversight and management of all fundraising administration, and managing a prospect portfolio of 75-120 active, high-capacity donors, and prospects. The incumbent will develop and manage close working relationships with leadership, faculty, staff, volunteers, grateful patients, and donors, and is responsible for developing their leadership and fundraising skills through involvement and engagement Apply By Date 9/25/2024 at 11:59pm; Initial Application Review date is 5/22/2024.
