Job Summary
Director of Information Technology Infrastructure is responsible for leading the information technology operations and ensuring the performance and efficiency of the network systems to serve business functions. This position will manage the development of technical solutions according to business requirements and client specifications. Will coordinate with the information technology staff for recommendations in improving the network infrastructure and performing configuration to boost optimization this includes all enterprise applications such as Microsoft.
Job Description

  • Lead the stabilization effort on both the VMWare to eliminate failures and performance issues.
  • Mitigate several major business risks through hybrid cloud initiative and lead business process improvements with executive business partners.
  • Lead a concept-to-implementation initiative to enable global work sharing processes and establish an agile infrastructure to realize cloud service flexibility.
  • Expand responsibilities include risk management and compliance.
  • Provide business process architecture strategic direction and assistance to internal and external clients on business plans base on business technology vision.
  • Direct rollout of MPLS data network for remote locations.
  • Implement cloud base desktops security and disaster recovery to include backups/recovery. * Oversee migration/consolidation of servers.
  • Manage Network Team to upgrade and replace all switches, routers and firewall to support VOIP
  • Formalize controls supporting customer (PII/PHI)
  • Oversee the migration of Google platform to Microsoft 365 platform email.
  • Develop key vendor partnerships to provide agility for acquisitions, strategic planning, architecture recommendations, and staffing requirements.
  • Develop a technology roadmap for the organization.

Minimum Qualifications
CREDENTIALS TO BE VERIFIED BY PLACEMENT OFFICER

  1. Any one or any combination totaling 5 years (60 months) from the following categories:

    1. College coursework which includes Information Technology (IT), IT Management, Programming, IT Systems, or a closely related discipline, as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent:

      • 30 semester hours equals one (1) year (12 months)
      • Associate's Degree (60 semester hours) equals eighteen months (18 months)
      • 90 semester hours equals two (2) years (24 months)
      • Bachelor's Degree (120 semester hours) equals three (3) years (36 months)



    2. Work experience in IT-related functions such as hardware/software support, programming, network design, network engineering, IT systems integration, or closely related field, which includes supervisory or lead worker capacity.


  2. Based on position requirements, additional education, training, and/or work experience in the area of specialization inherent to the position may be required.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience Required:
1. Relevant degree or diploma in Information systems or information technology
2. Any one or any combination totaling two (2) years (24 months) from the following categories:

  1. College coursework which includes Information Technology (IT), IT Management, Programming, IT systems, or a closely related discipline, as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent:

    • 30 semester hours equals one (1) year (12 months)
    • Associate's Degree (60 semester hours) equals eighteen months (18 months)
    • 90 semester hours equals two (2) years (24 months)
    • Bachelor's Degree (120 semester hours) equals three (3) years (36 months)



  2. Work experience in IT-related functions, such as hardware/software support, scripting, network engineering, IT systems integration, or closely related field.
  3. Based on position requirements, additional education, training, and/or work experience in the area of specialization inherent to the position may be required.

  1. Knowledge of the systems and operations used within the areas and departments of responsibility.
  2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  3. Ability to oversee and coordinate activities of assigned staff.
  4. Ability to effectively communicate with other colleagues, supervisors, administrative staff, and other campus/agency units.
  5. Ability to identify and resolve technical and personnel problems.
  6. Ability to effectively communicate and professionally interact with all staff levels.
  7. The director of information technology infrastructure must have excellent communication and technical skills, especially in maintaining the safety and security of the systems from unauthorized access and data risks.
