Responsibilities

Duties: The Electrical Designer Engineer at CNH Industrial America LLC in Oak Brook, IL will work with lighting and camera components which are electromechanical devices and lead various development projects on the large tractors, sprayers, and some harvesting machines, as well as support standards development and cost reduction activities. Designing, developing, and validating the lighting and camera products. Creating and reviewing DFMEAs, FEAs, DVPRs, Bill of Materials (BOMs) from the suppliers. Reviewing the designs and critique various aspects of the design of lighting and camera components encompassing heat sink, PCB and optical elements during development. Utilizing Moldflow, CAD and simulation software and proof-of-concept prototypes to validate products for the company and performing risk management. Creating and reviewing detailed engineering drawings by applying GD&T principles. Creating and updating documentation capturing every phase of the development project. Assisting in reviews of schematics, layout, IO selection, and hardware requirements. Participating in root cause analysis activities to understand system failures. Conducting benchmarking activities to evaluate lighting and camera performances. Collaborating with external customers, and suppliers to initiate new designs and design modifications. Creating specifications based on knowledge of manufacturing process to allow a proper design for manufacturing with suppliers and document lessons learnt. Coordinating engineering efforts and providing engineering assistance to internal teams and external customers. Acting as a technical liaison between the suppliers and all the internal customers to ensure smooth release and launch of the products. Working on Teamcenter for Product Lifecycle management and for data transfer between various internal teams. Evaluating lamp performance during night drive and compare it with the simulated results. Creating and ownership of the Engineering Change Notices. Telecommuting permitted up to 3 days per week. Salary: $100,600 - $145,000/year.



Qualifications

Minimum Requirements: Requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field plus 4 years of experience as an Electromechanical Design Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, or related occupation. The 4 years of experience must include 4 years of experience with each of the following: 1) Working with lighting components; 2) Performing Root Cause Analyses; 3) Product Development; 4) Preparing product specifications and DVPRSs; 5) Experience with CAD tools including CREO or CATIA; 6) Simulation Software including ANSYS or Hypermesh; 7) Siemens Teamcenter for effective date transfer; 8) Creating and analyzing heat sink and PB design and performance; and 9) Analyzing the design of plastic components.
