Environmental Services Supervisor (MGM National Harbor)

THE JOB:

As an Environmental Services Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations of the Environmental Services department. You will lead a team of dedicated professionals in maintaining a clean, safe, and environmentally friendly environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental services management, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for promoting sustainability.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Supervise and lead the EVS team: Manage a team of environmental services staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high-quality service delivery.
• Daily Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Environmental Services department, including scheduling, task assignments, and performance monitoring.
• Quality Control: Implement and maintain quality control standards to ensure that all cleaning and waste management activities meet or exceed regulatory requirements and company standards.
• Sustainability Initiatives: Drive initiatives to promote environmental sustainability within the organization, including waste reduction, recycling programs, and the use of eco-friendly cleaning products.
• Inventory Management: Monitor and manage cleaning supplies and equipment inventory, ensuring that sufficient resources are available for daily operations.
• Communication: Collaborate with other departments and communicate effectively with staff to address any environmental services-related issues and promote a culture of cleanliness and responsibility.
• Training and Development: Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for the EVS team to enhance their skills and knowledge.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• At least 2 years of experience in environmental services
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Excellent leadership skills
• Has a passion for promoting sustainability
• Has a willingness to actively engage in the development and growth of others.
• Takes pride in their work and is self- motivated.
