Overview

Helio Health is on a mission to treat and promote recovery from the effects of substance use, mental health disorders, and other behavioral healthcare issues. To support the mission of Helio Health, the Director of Continuous Quality Improvement will oversee the implementation of process improvement activities across the agency. The Director of Continuous Quality Improvement will work on a Full-Time basis.

Pay Rate: $81,000.00 - $90,000.00

In addition to Helio Health's comprehensive benefits package, this position is eligible for a Sign-On incentive up to $4,000!



Responsibilities

    Directs and oversees the implementation of process improvement activities across the Agency.
  • Monitors the provision of services by Helio Health, Inc. according to Agency standards and policies, and governmental regulations.
  • Actively participates in setting clinical goals and expectation for the agency's programs/clinics and support efforts to achieve those goals by coordinating Quality Improvement activities.
  • Serves as an active member of the Helio Health, Inc. Compliance Committee.
  • Conducts or oversees the completion of internal program/clinic audits to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and Agency standards and policies.
  • Serves as a key participant in facilitating and reviewing external program/clinic audits conducted by the Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS), the Office of Mental Health (OMH), and other external parties.
  • Reviews and assists with the submission and implementation of Corrective Action and/or Quality Improvement and/or Program Improvement Plans in connection with such audits.
  • Recognizes staff training needs in areas regarding continuous quality improvement and develops and facilitates applicable trainings with program staff and the Helio Health Training Institute.
  • Ensures New Colleague Orientation training is conducted relating to continuous quality improvement principles.
  • Assists in the development of responses to Requests for Proposals (RFP) and other grants as assigned.
  • Representation of Helio Health, Inc. programs to external parties, such as providers, payers and licensing/accrediting/oversight agencies
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Qualified Health Professional (QHP) with a Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree preferred, in Health and/or Human Services related field.
  • Five years' experience in Mental Health/Substance Use Disorders/Primary Care Healthcare services.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience in treatment of substance use disorders, mental health disorders and primary care.
  • Experience with Electronic Health Records as it relates to data analytics, manipulation, and reporting.
  • Skills in application of analytical methods and statistical software preferred.
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training may be considered.
  • Must have a valid NYS Driver's License.
