Overview

Provides strategic oversight of a critical supply chain function (Aircraft Component Repair Administration) in support of all customers and types operated by Atlas Air and, under contract, Polar Air Cargo. Responsible for over $100M+ in spend this position must develop and execute a balanced strategy that blends component reliability, material availability, and cost control. In collaboration with Senior Leadership of Material Planning, Technical Purchasing, Procurement, Stores, Reliability, Engineering, Maintenance and Quality ensures all regulatory and operational standards are met to ensure contractual obligations realized.



Responsibilities

    Fiduciary duties for both the budgeting process and operational execution exceeding $100M in spend.
  • Identifies strategic initiatives and operational requirements, which award multi-million-dollar repair contracts in collaboration with Procurement.
  • Develops metrics and KPI's such as (Spend to Budget, Turn Around Time, Order Accuracy Rates, Un-Accrued Order Value, etc) to ensure optimal performance of the component repair process and team members.
  • Accountable for component scrap process decisions in excess of $10M+ of assets annually.
  • In close collaboration with Technical Accounting, ensures repair process balances operational and capital spend.
  • Leads a team of Repair Analysts and ensures team has proper training and resources to successfully execute initiatives.
  • Ensures the component repair process performance supports inventory allocation and fulfillment targets.
  • Responsible for close management of the approved repair vendor list and ensuring a balanced economy of quality vendors are maintained.
  • Builds processes and policies to identify poor performing vendors and develops strategies to mitigate supply chain risks.
  • Collaborates with Engineering Reliability Team leadership to develop strategies, which improve component reliability through build specifications.
  • Performs other functions as assigned by the Director of Inventory Management.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Accounting, Mathematics, Quantitative Analysis or Business Administration preferred.
  • 5+ years of Aviation Component Repair and Overhaul experience.
  • 5+ years leading a professional staff.
  • Extensive knowledge in supply chain processes: component life cycle management, component repair, and contracts.
  • Proven ability to present and interact with Senior and Executive leadership.
  • Strong decision making, problem solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities in a highly visible role.
  • Advanced computer skills to include experience with aviation maintenance and engineering systems, experience with TRAX is preferred.

Salary Range: $91,000 - $123,000

Financial offer within the stated range will be based on multiple factors to include but not limited to location, relevant experience/level and skillset.
