Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

  • Value Stream Mapping (VSM):
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to map out current state value streams across different business units.
  • Analyze value streams to identify waste, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Work with team members to develop future state value stream maps that align with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Understanding Standard Work:
  • Study existing standard work procedures within various departments to understand current practices and efficiencies.
  • Identify deviations from standard work and areas for improvement.
  • Assist in documenting and updating standard work procedures based on observations and analysis.
  • Single Minute Exchange of Die (SMED):
  • Gain knowledge of SMED principles and techniques through training and practical application.
  • Analyze changeover processes within manufacturing operations to reduce setup times and increase productivity.
  • Collaborate with teams to implement SMED techniques and standardize changeover procedures.
  • Process Improvement:
  • Utilize Lean principles and methodologies to identify opportunities for process improvement across business units.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to address underlying issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Work with stakeholders to implement process improvements and monitor their effectiveness over time.
  • Kaizen Mapping:
  • Compile findings from value stream mapping, standard work analysis, SMED initiatives, and process improvement efforts into a comprehensive Kaizen map.
  • Identify key areas for improvement and prioritize initiatives based on potential impact and feasibility.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to develop action plans and timelines for implementation Kaizen initiatives.

Minimum Basic Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather, analyze, and interpret data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a passion for process improvement and operational excellence.
  • Familiarity with Lean principles and methodologies is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Must be able to travel 50% of the time
