Pre- Apprentice Test Technician

Job Overview

The Test Technician Pre-apprentice is responsible for supporting the Quality and Manufacturing Operations on a plant wide basis across all raw material, process and product lines as assigned.

A Day In The Life

On the day to day you will be ensuring compliance to in-house specifications, standards and good manufacturing practices; rejection of nonconforming lots; defect and root cause analysis; first article inspections; interacting with vendors to reduce variability of incoming materials; communicating process and product quality issues in a timely manner to manufacturing, quality and all appropriate cross-functional departments.

What will help you thrive in this role?

  • Become proficient in the use of quality equipment, inspection gages and techniques.
  • Utilizing statistical methods and/or defect analysis, understand and resolve product quality issues relating to non-conforming product. Facilitate disposition on non-conforming product (DR's).
  • Participate in processing RMA's.
  • Work with vendors on corrective actions related to repeat non-conformances.
  • Become proficient in test procedures and audits requirements, and standard work as required.
