Overview
The Retirement Division of the State's Treasurer's Office is looking for a highly organized, independent, and proactive individual who is detail-oriented, with strong written and oral communication skills. Retirement Specialist's collaborate with other staff to create a unified customer service approach so that potential and current retirees receive prompt responses, in person, virtually, in writing, over the telephone and via large group presentations. This position provides retirement counseling services to all members of the VT State Retirement System, VT Teachers' Retirement System as well as the VT Municipal Retirement system. This position is also responsible for assisting and advising retirement staff on needed adjustments of individual cases. Who May Apply

Duties are performed in a standard office setting. Some stress may be encountered in dealing with people having difficulty in making retirement decisions or with people who are unhappy with the information being provided. Some job-related travel will be necessary for which private means of transportation is necessary. Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent AND Five (5) years or more of experience in business or public administration, employee benefits, compensation, accounting, auditing, or other fields where analysis, interpretation, and application of rules, regulations, or complex policies and procedures is a requirement of the job. Preferred Qualifications
Bachelors degree in business administration, public policy or a human resources related field Total Compensation
