Where you will work:
This opportunity is considered a remote national position, allowing employees to reside in all states except Hawaii, and Alaska. Travel is required to other mill locations as necessary, up to 25%. What you will do:
As the Capital Program Manager, you will develop, coordinate, and manage business unit capital projects to deliver against key objectives of growth, revenue, product quality, and operational efficiencies. While providing strong collaboration with internal and external cross-functional resources to ensure alignment with key stakeholders, you are also responsible to develop, align, and implement engineering standards across the business unit to improve the effectiveness of project planning, execution, and completion.



  • Support the development and manage detailed project plan(s), resource allocation needs, and budget information inclusive of project process reviews, identifying project timelines and resourcing risks, and developing countermeasures.
  • Manage changes to project scope, schedule, costs and align changes across the organization; communicate changes to organization stakeholders.
  • Develop and present project status update presentations for Senior Leadership Team in collaboration with key stakeholders within PPD and CPD Division leadership team as needed.
  • Execute project review process, establish project toll gates, and lead project review meetings.
  • Support project management, tracking and report out system.
  • Provides analysis and recommendations for allocation of funds to capital program needs.
  • Coordinates assigned activities with other divisions, departments, and outside agencies.
  • Provides support to the Sr. Director of Capital Project Engineering
  • Lead change management efforts to continuously improve existing project management processes and better integrate engineering into business unit decision-making.
  • Collaborate with engineering and cross-functional colleagues on best practice applications developing a culture of high performance.
  • Apply critical financial business metrics to project management and execution to assist in risk identification.
  • Identify, define, and set a strategic direction, identifying gaps and adjusting priorities in a fast-paced evolving project space.
  • Ability to develop and leverage data to quantitively and analytically make business decisions and take smart risks.
  • Ability and confidence in thinking strategically and acting tactically.
  • Lead and navigate in a matrixed and highly collaborative environment to influence change and core processes.
  • An ability to think about "practical strategies" for realistically challenging goals and implementation plans.
  • A high degree of business curiosity; quick learner with a proactive and agile mindset
  • Inspires trust through influencing, charisma, passion, and orientation toward driving for results with and through teaming.
  • Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal); leading training, preparing, and presenting complex materials for various audiences.
  • Strong change management skills with an ability to challenge the status quo while aligning and bringing others along.


What you will need:



  • Bachelor of Science or Business Required.
  • 5+ years of experience.
  • Experience in manufacturing operations preferred but not required.
  • Strong organizational, communication and team logistics skills
  • Strong Excel and Presentation skills
  • Product & Equipment knowledge a plus
  • Coaching at a high level
  • Project Management Certification a plus
  • Strong analytical skills, planning skills, and ability to prioritize work effectively.
  • Some travel up to 25%
  • Use of Personal Protective Equipment with exposure to a Manufacturing setting
  • Sitting and high computer use


Total Reward Details:
We're committed to providing an exceptional workplace experience, including a comprehensive total reward package. This position is eligible for our Incentive Plan. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, education, and experience among other factors. Benefits are generally available after 30 days and include medical, dental, vision, life, disability coverage, employee assistance program, and a 401k plan. Paid time off will include vacation days, personal days, and company holidays.
