Job Description

PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

The Manager, Title III (G) position serves as project administrator, responsible for day-to-day operations of the Title III program, including all post-award administrative responsibilities. Because the Title III project touches many aspects of the college, this individual will coordinate with faculty, staff and administrators across the campus to ensure all activities carried out under the grant are meeting the proposed objectives and are following Title III funding guidelines and reporting requirements. This is a grant-funded position, Continuation of the position from one academic year to the next is contingent up continued grant funding.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Planning and oversight of key functions within the area of Title III Project
  2. Manages full-time and part-time professional and support staff
  3. Promotes and ensures collaboration between all areas of Title III Project to ensure a cohesive and consistent standard of services
  4. Manages, monitors, and administers area budgets, following all Federal and LSC guidelines Creates, analyzes, and utilizes a variety of detailed reports
  5. Uses data-driven information to provide informed updates to Administration
  6. Analyzes, interprets and implements policies and practices as they relate a variety of compliance issues
  7. Ensures compliance with all applicable internal and external rules, regulations, and requirements, and with LSC policies and procedures
  8. Represents assigned areas goals with deans, faculty, staff, students and the community to effectively implement the Title III program
  9. Serves on and attends internal and external meetings, committees, workshops, and conferences as required
  10. Responsible for other reasonable related duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

PHYSICAL ABILITIES:

The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items, such as papers, books, or small parts; or driving an automobile. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.

WORK SCHEDULE & CONDITIONS:

  • Equipment used includes, PC workstation running on a LAN in a Microsoft Windows environment, calculator, phone and other general office equipment
  • Interface with internal and external contacts as needed to carry out the functions of the position
  • Work is performed in a climate-controlled office with minimal exposure to safety hazards

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in education, public administration, or related field and at least 3 years of related work experience in higher education, with a minimum of two years working with federal grant programs, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master's degree
  • Title III experience
Salary

Hiring salary range is $54,528 to $62,707

Lone Star College provides a hiring salary range for all posted full-time non-faculty positions. Where your salary offer would fall in that range is determined by your related experience and education. Should you receive an offer of employment from Lone Star College, the resume submitted in the application process will be utilized to calculate your salary offer.
