Job Title/High Level Position Summary:

The HR Business Partners (HRBP) is responsible for helping align the organization's people strategy with its business strategy. As the Business Partner to senior leadership across multiple functions and Business Units (BUs), this role provides proactive support and consultation in multiple aspects of HR including, but limited to, staffing, talent and succession planning, performance management, employee development, recruitment, compensation, organizational development, policy interpretation, and employee relations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides support to Senior Leadership their management teams through regular 1x1s
  • Shares information and input with other HRBPs and HR COEs to maximize the overall effectiveness of the Global HR Team
  • Provides coaching and strategic advice to leaders across assigned client group(s)
  • Researches, reviews, and analyzes data (e.g., turnover, absenteeism, talent, and critical position identification, etc.) to ensure informed, fiscally responsible decision making that aligns to business strategy
  • Responds to sensitive and confidential issues and concerns raised by all levels of employees in a confidential, timely, and objective manner
  • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues, conducting effective, thorough, and objective investigations as applicable
  • Maintains awareness of general employee feedback, issues, and concerns and recommends solutions to management to improve morale and employee engagement
  • Actively supports employee engagement by partnering with Senior Leadership and their management teams to ensure appropriate follow up to employee surveys and influences accountability to action plans
  • Provides support and guidance in the delivery of HR programs and initiatives (e.g., Talent Review, Succession Planning, Employee Engagement, Performance Management, Career Development, DEI,)
  • Identifies group and employee training needs and actively supports the career development of employees
  • Provides guidance in workforce planning, recruitment, and retention
  • Supports recruitment efforts to select and develop key talent to fill in critical roles
  • Identifies compensation issues and reviews with COE leader to promote pay equity
  • May be involved in the creation of sales incentive/commission-based compensation plans
  • Counsels leaders regarding current employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance
  • Coaches and educates employees and management at all levels regarding HR programs and policies
  • Collaborates with HR counterparts to recommend improvements to policies, processes, and procedures to drive best practice implementation and review
  • Works closely with Finance as part of the annual budgeting process
  • Acts as employee advocate and available for employee concerns
  • Completes ad hoc-projects and reporting as required
  • Other duties as assigned

Scope/Role Dimensions

  • May have both International and Domestic responsibility

Supports client groups totally approximately 250-400 employees

Experience

  • Minimum of 8 years of Human Resources experience including at least 2 years of HR Generalist/Business Partner experience
  • Experience should include at least 3 of the following: business/client group HR support, employee relations, training, compensation and benefits, career development, and organizational design
  • Creative yet detail-oriented; flexible, and willing to take calculated risks and take accountability for the outcomes
  • Understands applicable federal, state, and local HR-related laws employment laws, regulations, and trends
  • Proven ability to handle difficult employee issues in a professional and confidential manner
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with and influence key stakeholders at all levels, both internal and external
  • Able to meet deadlines and maintain heavy workload in fast paced, matrixed environment
  • Self-starter; must be able to work independently
  • Committed to customer service, confidentiality, and professionalism at all times
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and ability to think analytically
  • KPI and analytical experience required
  • Ability to analyze data and create and communicate options to meet desired business objectives
  • Proven experience in identifying core issues and problem solving
  • Strong financial acumen
  • Adept at using technology (e.g., strong Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with Workday strongly preferred

Education

  • BA/BS Degree in Human Resources or related field, and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP preferred
