Advantage Resourcing is looking for a candidate with a warm, welcoming vibe and positive attitude to help greet and assist patients as they come through our office. Advantage Resourcing has partnered with a healthcare provider and needs a motivated and upbeat Medical Biller in Monroe, LA, where the gift of gab and phenomenal interpersonal communications skills are keys to success.

Schedule: 8am - 5pm

Pay rate: $15 - 18/hr.

Medical Biller essential tasks:



  • Prepare and submit medical insurance claims to insurance companies or government agencies. This involves verifying insurance coverage, obtaining necessary pre-authorizations, and ensuring all required documentation is complete.
  • Assign appropriate medical codes (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS) to diagnoses and procedures for billing purposes. Review medical records and provider notes to accurately code services rendered.
  • Generate patient invoices for services rendered, including deductibles, co-payments, and any outstanding balances. Communicate with patients regarding their bills, payment options, and any billing inquiries.
  • Record and reconcile payments received from patients and insurance companies. Ensure all payments are applied correctly to patient accounts.
  • Monitor outstanding insurance claims and follow up with insurance companies to resolve any issues or delays in payment. Resubmit claims with corrections as needed.
  • Investigate and appeal denied claims to maximize reimbursement. Identify trends or common reasons for claim denials and work with providers to address and prevent recurring issues.
  • Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and billing guidelines, including HIPAA regulations and insurance industry standards. Stay informed about changes in billing codes, reimbursement rates, and billing procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of billing activities, including claim submissions, payments received, and accounts receivable. Generate reports on billing performance, revenue collection, and accounts aging.


Qualified candidates will have two years of related experience as well as Word and Excel experience.
