Specialist - Fleet Sales

Sunoco LP is the largest wholesale fuel supplier in the U.S., supplying fuel to over 8,000 locations in North America.



Summary:

The Fleet Sales Specialist will be a key member of our payments and fleet team, responsible for development and execution of our fleet card growth strategy. Responsibilities include building new relationships with prospective fleet card customers and strengthening relationships with existing fleet card customers to drive long-term, profitability by growing fleet fuel gallons. This includes making strategic recommendations to improve operations, and customer retention, in addition to driving sales growth. This position requires a driven individual with strong knowledge of the fleet card business, solid business acumen, as well as excellent communication, analytical, and relationship skills.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Execute fleet card sales strategy to achieve aggressive gallon growth. Align with leadership on establishing monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals. Develop comprehensive plans to reach and then exceed these goals.

Develop process to monitor execution of the sales strategy to include tracking of new accounts and fleet card volumes.

* Partner with area managers and marketers to identify fleet sales opportunities.

* Work with fleet card brand partners to develop and execute fleet growth strategy.

* Collaborate with all fuel brands and develop a strategy to utilize their resources to best support Sunoco's directives.

* Seek out other business opportunities and supplement partner efforts with initiatives like cold calling, email campaigns, vertical marketing and utilizing other industry resources.

* Understand and monitor market factors, competition, and industry trends in order to refine sales and growth strategies.

* Document and accurately track all sales activities including sales call, closed sales, and related follow up efforts.

* Provide support and training for others engaged in the fleet sales and fleet marketing processes.

Qualifications:

* Proven Sales, Project Management, and Retail Management Experience preferred.

* Strong working knowledge of fleet cards and payment card industry

* 2-8+ years of experience in fleet sales, marketing, operations, credit cards or related field

* Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience

* Strong analytical and quantitative skills

Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level:

* The Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor's degree and 2-5 years of relevant job related experience

* The Senior Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor's degree and 5-8 years of relevant job related experience

* The Lead Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of relevant job related experience



Knowledge and Skills:

* Self-motivated individual with a high personal standard of excellence who can work independently to drive results

* Detail oriented and meticulous about data accuracy across multiple systems

* Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining organization and timely completion of projects

* Strong oral and written communication skills. Comfortable interacting with individuals across different departments and at various levels within the organization

* Experience with PowerBI or other business intelligence reporting software

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of applications

* Project management experience is a plus
