Summary:

Performs a variety of regular and recurring accounting functions, including but not limited to securing financial operations by performing daily reconciliations ensuring financials are reported timely and accurately. Responsible for addressing and resolving basic to advanced issues regarding payment to fuel suppliers. Responsible for providing support to Supply & Trading, General Accounting (and related departments), internal & external audit and the tax departments. The Fuel Payable Senior Analyst/Accountant will also be required to be self-driven and willing to assist the team in order to meet common goals and deadlines. Another function of the Fuel Payable Senior Analyst/Accountant will be providing assistance in resolving vendor inquiries regarding payment of fuel invoices..

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Customer/Vendor Service




    • Provides customer service by responding to vendor's inquiries and concerns.
    • Serves vendors and Supply & Trading by maintaining our philosophy of going above and beyond, supported by a value proposition that every situation will be handled in a timely manner.
    • Represents Company interests with the highest standards of professionalism.


  • Operations

    • Monitors the performance of the fuel and accounting systems by ensuring feeds and processes are running as scheduled and performing as expected related areas of responsibility.
    • Identifies, researches and resolves all processing errors related to fuel invoices.
    • General ledger research.
    • Understand SAP ledger functions for Accounts Payable and Cash clearing
    • Prepare and park journal entries.
    • Monitor missing X-ref detail in Right Angle.
    • Interfaces with multiple internal departments to resolve fuel payment matters timely and accurately.
    • Prepare reports by collecting, formatting, analyzing and summarizing information as needed.
    • Performs other various duties as assigned.




Requirements:

Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:



  • 4-8 years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Strong excel skills
  • Detail Oriented
  • Analytical Skills


Preferred Qualifications:



  • SAP experience preferred
  • Power BI and Alteryx experience is a plus


Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level:



  • The Accountant level requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and 2-5 years of relevant experience
  • The Senior Accountant level requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and 5-8 years of relevant experience
  • The Lead Accountant level requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and 8+ years of relevant experience
