We are looking for a licensed Physical Therapist for our NEW office in Covington, GA. We provide one-on-one quality care to our patients and foster a healthy work-life balance.

Georgia Bone & Joint is a leader in orthopedic medical care with growing practices around Atlanta. We are seeking Physical Therapists to join our team and help open our NEW clinic in Covington, GA. We work in a collaborative care environment, which includes not only a state-of-the-art physical therapy and occupational therapy department, but also highly trained and skilled orthopedic physicians and onsite MRI, all of which allows us to provide superior care for our patients. We have an experienced team of therapists that are trained in multiple advanced treatment techniques including personalized Blood Flow Restriction Therapy (certified through Owens Recovery Science), Dry Needling, Low Level Laser Therapy, and advanced manual therapy techniques. We treat orthopedic and sport injuries across the continuum, from Athlete to mathlete and from pediatric to geriatric, providing individualized one-on-on care for each patient.

  • Full Time - 30 hours/week minimum
  • Monday-Friday, at least 4 days/week

Requirements



  • Graduate of a CAPTE accredited school of Physical Therapy
  • Currently licensed as a physical therapist in the state of Georgia, or eligible for licensure in the state of Georgia.
  • BLS CPR Certification

Essential Functions:



  • Perform initial and ongoing physical therapy evaluations according to APTA standards of practice as well as state standards
  • Evaluate patient mobility, strength, ROM, pain, and current level of patient function.
  • Develop a plan of treatment for patients based on ongoing evaluations, including short-term and long-term goals, frequency, and duration of anticipated treatment, and expected outcomes
  • Tolerate standing and walking constantly throughout the day while treating and supervising patients.
  • Administer physical therapy treatments that include hands on manual therapy, joint mobilizations, manual stretching of sometimes heavy body parts, myofascial release and others, while maintaining good control and body mechanics.
  • Teach and demonstrate proper gait and mobility techniques, while helping with bed mobility, transfers and guarding patients to ensure their safety with good technique and body mechanics.
  • Be able to demonstrate and perform various activities and exercises that include squatting, bending, twisting, lifting 20+lbs, using exercise machines and occasionally running and jumping.
  • Be proficient with using a computer and able to document accurately and efficiently through the EMR, ensuring documentation is timely and meets compliance.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on the patient condition, limitations, precautions, and realistic outcome expectations from the physical therapy plan of care
  • Implement plan of treatment on a consistent schedule and adjust schedule and plan according to patient progress
  • Collaborate with other providers such as physicians, physician assistants, occupational therapists, physical therapist assistants and other physical therapists for the benefit of the patient's care
  • Accurate billing of services
