Description

The Administrative Nurse I is responsible for assisting with the unit's clinical management and administrative coordination. The position combines clinical (direct care) and administrative responsibilities. Under the direction of the Unit Director, the OR Manager. The Administrative Nurse I, is responsible for the consistent implementation and monitoring of organizational policies and standards within the unit. The AN I is responsible for knowledge and application of all personnel policies and requirements of the collective bargaining agreements. The AN I will assist the Unit Director and OR Manager in promoting the accomplishment of the goals and objectives of the unit. The AN I is responsible for monitoring specialty area operations to identify and report problems associated with staff performance, resource issues, and patient care issues to the Unit Director and OR Manager. The AN I is responsible for decision-making within the established annual unit budget and for making recommendations and decisions which promote the cost effective allocation of resources. The AN I will present new treatment modalities and/or information to the nursing staff as directed and will collaborate with the OR Manager and Unit Director, to identify educational needs and learning situations for nursing staff; complete performance evaluations on orienting nursing team members and nursing staff; identify own professional development needs and seek appropriate resources to meet them. \

Hourly Salary Range: $67.06 - $97.43

Qualifications

We are seeking a highly skilled, self-starter with:

  • Active California RN license
  • BSN with two years of recent acute care experience
  • BLS from the American Red Cross or American Heart
    Association
  • 1-2 years of experience as an Ophthalmology Operating
    Room Nurse strongly preferred
