The Construction Projects Engineering (CPE) group is part of the Bettis Construction Department and is responsible for the delivery of projects from initiation to closeout. The Facilities Engineer plays a key role leading in the development, design, and execution of a wide variety of projects. Typically, these projects involve medium-to-large scale renovations, site infrastructure upgrades, and new construction of office buildings, laboratories, and test facilities. The Facilities Engineers work closely with Project Managers, Contract Administrators, Construction Oversight personnel, Stakeholders, and Subcontractors to deliver infrastructure improvement projects at the Bettis Laboratory located in West Mifflin, PA. The Facilities Engineer is responsible for challenging technical assignments that allow flexibility in approaching solutions by self-performing design, contracting Architect-Engineer services, or utilizing design-build methods to develop creative engineering solutions that support the needs of the facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the technical process through the development of project functional requirements, preparation of submittals including project documents and/or drawings, specification of materials, reviewing project plans, estimating manpower/costs required to complete tasks and providing field oversight to active projects to ensure compliance with project requirements. Demonstration of sound technical fundamentals as well as strong written and verbal communication skills are essential to be successful in this role. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 9 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 7 years of relevant experience Preferred Skills

Pay Range
$103,100.00 - $161,100.00 annually
