Job Summary: Sleep Outfitters is looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist who will be responsible for processing payroll for our company. In this position, you will ensure accurate and timely payment of salaries and wages, as well as maintain employee records related to payroll. You will also be expected to provide support for tax filings and audits.

Pay Range: $44,000-$62,000

What You'll Do:



  • Process and manage payroll for employees including variable pay calculation
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
  • Calculate and process payroll taxes and other deductions
  • Prepare and distribute paychecks or direct deposits to employees
  • Maintain accurate records of employee payroll information
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits
  • Collaborate with HR team to ensure accurate employee data and payroll information
  • Prepare and file payroll reports and tax filings
  • Stay up-to-date on payroll regulations and industry trends
  • Assist with other accounting tasks as needed

What You'll Need:



  • 2+ years of experience in payroll accounting
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent experience is preferred
  • Variable pay plan experience is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of payroll laws and regulations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Experience with ADP or other payroll software
  • Experience with multi-state payroll
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
