Extracurricular - Fine and Applied Arts/National Art Honor Society 5/29/2024 WEST FINE AND APPLIED ARTS 24-25 School Year 06/30/2024 National Art Honor Society - Stipend Job Description Position Title: National Art Honor Society Sponsor Reports To: Fine and Applied Arts Director Position Statement:The National Art Honor Society sponsor will work with its chapter members to promote visual arts in the school and community through various activities and service projects. The purpose of the NWHS Chapter of the National Art Honor Society is to inspire and recognize those students who have demonstrated excellence in the visual arts. The NAHS strives to aid members in working toward the attainment of the highest standards in art areas, and to bring art education to the attention of the school and community. The NAHS sponsor is responsible for holding meetings throughout the school year. Meeting are determined by its members, but should meet at least once a month. Sponsor must register your chapter every school year to maintain active status. Chapter membership expires on June 30 each year. Student membership dues of $3 are required for every student in the chapter each year they are a member of NAHS. Essential Functions: To promote visual arts in the school and community. Calendar: Varying Hours Per Week: The NAHS sponsor is responsible for holding meetings throughout the school year. Building: West & North Performance Evaluation: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the District evaluation procedures.
