n Position Title: Lead Computer Operator Business Unit: Technology Reports to: Manager of Computer Operations Position Overview: This position is primarily responsible for providing experienced Computer Operator support in a 24/7 processing environment, taking responsibility for shift coverage, providing Tier 2 computer operations support relieving management of these responsibilities. The incumbent has an excellent understanding of PC, mainframe, servers, data communications, file transfer protocols and MS Office products. Primary Responsibilities: Maintains detailed understanding of job processing requirements and data flow of all Bank applications. Provides Tier 2 Support for timely response to issues and questions from Computer Operators escalating these to Technology management when appropriate. Is able to expertly cover all Computer Operators' shifts for time off, vacation, sick time, etc. Works with Business Systems Analysts in coordination of test environments and problem resolution for production and test environments. Consults with Technology management and staff to improve operational effectiveness of the department. Demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills. Participates with Technology and computer operations (all shifts) in planning and implementing cost effective solutions to increase productivity as approved by management. Provides first line of defense for computer operations with skills to consult, troubleshoot and resolve escalated issues. Administers files transfer systems and utilities. Maintains Computer Operations production check lists, logs and procedures. Participates in Technology projects and strategic initiatives. Trains new Computer Operators on all aspects of shift responsibilities and existing Computer Operators on new procedures and processes. Leads team, helps coordinate work and processes, assigns work and provides input for performance management. Performs other related duties and projects as assigned. Minimum Level of Education Required to Perform the Primary Responsibilities of this Position: Associates Minimum # of Years of Job Related Experience Required to Perform the Primary Responsibilities of this Position: 5 Skills Required to Perform the Primary Responsibilities of this Position: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Excellent organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills Ability to work and multi-task in a fast paced environment Detail-oriented Excellent customer service skills Good knowledge of Unisys system commands and console messages. Ability to understand and modify Unisys workflows (WFLs). Direct experience with computer operations in a bank or financial processing environment. Licensures/Certifications Required to Perform the Primary Responsibilities of this Position: Appropriate Unisys and Fiserv virtual training modules with manager approval.
